REEFTON – ALEXANDRA Cruise to “Parma Heaven” - Sat 13th July 2013

Well we do it every year...so come & join us as we drive into some of our most beautiful high country & enjoy one of the best stretches of twisty roads Victoria has to offer - the awesome Reefton Spur!!

This cruise will be taking you out on Wellington Rd, up to the Warburton Hwy, through the mighty Reefton Spur to Marysville for a quick “lolly shop” pitstop and then on to Alexandra for lunch at The Commercial Hotel for a local delicacy of Chicken Parmigianas - actually a choice of 40 different types!!

As we did 2 years ago, we may encounter some snow after the Reefton Spur, on the roads up around the Lake Mountain area – whilst this is an obvious sign to exercise extreme caution, if driven safely in our AWD cars, it can be a wonderful experience for those that have not driven in/through snow before!!

See Photo evidence at bottom of this page for the snow we encountered in mid-May 2011…this Snow was most unexpected (given it was only mid-May) but such an awesome surprise & experience for many of the members who attended!!

And for those that are keen & have the time after lunch (…and weather pending) – there is an Optional Bonus “Post Lunch” Cruise taking in an extra 72kms (40kms of which is serious twisty action)...Mmmm

What to bring:

• Arrive at the VG meet point with a FULL tank of fuel
• Your Completed & Signed SEA(Social Event Application) Form (print from this Link SEA Form 2012.doc )
• Your own copy of the Cruise Notes (will be posted up prior to event)
• CB Radio with batteries charged….(CB’s not compulsory or necessary, just to listen to club banter, traffic warnings from the lead group etc)
• Even if the sun is shining on the day, given the season & where we’re headed, please bear in mind that the Reefton stretch of road right through to Marysville will be very damp in most parts & therefore we ask you all to exercise caution, take care & be safe!!
• A smile, some laughs and a sense of Adventure!!
• ….and um, some warm clothes hehe
